Fantastic $30 Map-Making Software Bundle Is a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

Following a brief run earlier this year, this cartography software collection is back for a limited time that lasts through early December. Hailed as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" created by ProFantasy Software throughout their history, the entire collection is valued at over $1,300. And there are three different bundles available here.

The Main Attraction

The standout feature is certainly permanent access for Campaign Cartographer 3+, a professional-grade cartography program which enables users to create everything from epic fantasy landscapes, smaller regional maps, urban layouts, and most notably, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.

A regional fantasy map created using Campaign Cartographer 3+.

Package Levels

Basic Package

The most affordable option, at a minimum cost of $1, includes only four from the thirty-nine available products: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Source Maps: Castles!, and Source Maps: Cities!. This package suits existing CC3+ users, yet it provides new fantasy symbol styles for landscape mapping, over seven hundred fifty creature tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, over twenty-five top-down castle layouts with 470 associated map tokens, eight complete urban centers, and more than 70 urban floorplans.

Mid-Range Option

The eight-product collection starting at fifteen dollars is where things get more interesting by adding in permanent CC3+ access, the first Annual volume, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. The Annual represents the annual collection from ProFantasy's ongoing subscription program featuring multiple CC3+ enhancements like map collections and additional utilities. The Isometric Cities enables present urban areas in 3D perspective using angled views from all sides. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping is a 760-page for beginners and "power users" alike, packed with guidance and instructions for the map-making process.

Full Package

Starting at thirty dollars, the comprehensive package includes all the following:

  • Fractal Terrains 3+
  • Dungeon Creation Tool
  • City Designer 3
  • Cosmographer 3
  • Viewpoint Enhancement
  • Scene Builder
  • Character Design Module
  • Symbol Set 2: Fantasy Floorplans
  • Contemporary Design Pack
  • Symbol Set 4: Dungeons of Schley
  • Symbol Set 5: Cities of Schley
  • Monster Token Collection 2
  • Religious Structure Maps
  • World War 2 Interactive Atlas
  • World Builder’s Compendium
  • Cartographer’s Annual Vol 1-17
  • Permanent CC3+ Access
  • 3D City Symbols
  • Comprehensive Mapping Guide
  • Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland
  • Monster Token Set 1
  • Source Maps: Castles!
  • Source Maps: Cities!

Every volume from the Annual series are included here, plus numerous other resource and asset packs that can help users craft complete solar systems, or focus exclusively on classic fantasy realm creation: combat arenas, dungeons, urban centers, and land masses in multiple viewpoints. Users can also create character illustrations. For $30 as opposed to $15, the full bundle offers tremendous value, especially for cartographers who have only the annual CC3+ license seeking permanent licensing. But it's obviously more advantageous for map-making newbies since it includes introductory guides to help you get started. The one caveat here though the purchase is available across platforms, the applications only function with Windows systems.

Philanthropic Aspect

Similar to previous bundles, a portion of each sale goes to benefit a nonprofit. In this instance, that's Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 dedicated to enhancing children's welfare globally through education, health care, and emergency relief. Package customization options appear near the page top, though users may also choose their donation amount on the right side of the page. Additionally available is an donation allocation menu immediately below, enabling adjustment of how much of your donation allocated between the platform, developer, and charity.
